Winnellie Hydraulics was recently invited by the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation (DTBI) to speak as part of the official launch of the Gas Service & Supply Plan for the Northern Territory which was held on 5th March 2020.
Prior to the launch, Winnellie Hydraulics was asked to feature in a video at our Winnellie facility discussing our long history in the Northern Territory, experience in the gas industry and where future opportunities lie for local business.
The final cut of the video was released at the Gas, Service & Supply Plan launch
Roland Houareau (General Manager, NT INPEX) and our own Max Nicholson (General Manager, Winnellie Hydraulics).
The well attended event was MC’d by Sonia Harvey (CEO, Energy Club NT) who welcomed guest speakers from industry including Shaun Drabsch (CEO, DTBI), Roland Houareau (General Manager, NT) and our own Max Nicholson (General Manager, Winnellie Hydraulics).
DTBI announced their vision that by 2030 the Territory will be a world class gas production, manufacturing and services hub. Supporting this, the DBTI NT Gas Task Force has a five point plan to:
1. Expand Darwin’s LNG hub
2. Grow the service and supply industry
3. Establish a gas-based processing and manufacturing hub
4. Grow local research, innovation and training capacity
5. Contribute to Australia’s energy security
As a key player in the local gas industry Winnellie Hydraulics supports these initiatives to engage the local business community with a focus on growing capacity and strengthening the supply and services from Darwin for the benefit of all Territorians.
